Irish singer-songwriter Foy Vance has announced details for his fall headlining tour of North America. The cross-country trek – kicking off in Phoenix, Arizona, on September 21 – supports his forthcoming album “THE WILD SWAN” (see attached itinerary). The album marks Vance’s debut for Gingerbread Man Records, the label launched by Ed Sheeran last year, and features the legendary Elton John as its executive producer. “THE WILD SWAN” arrives everywhere on May 13th.
To celebrate the release of “THE WILD SWAN,” Vance will perform the album’s lead single “She Burns” on NBC’s TODAY on May 25th. The appearance marks his American national television debut. Vance recently unveiled the official music video for “She Burns” – which stars Lucy Hale of “Pretty Little Liars” – and has garnered over 250,000 views in a matter of days.
The North American dates are part of Vance’s “The Wild Swan World Tour,” which begins this September in Australia before heading stateside and then continues throughout Europe and the UK into November. The UK leg includes a November 18th stop at Shepherds Bush Empire, his biggest London headline show to date. This summer will see Vance supporting Elton John on the legendary artist’s Wonderful Crazy tour in the UK, in addition to performing at the Latitude and Glastonbury festivals.
In conjunction with the tour announcement, Vance has unveiled the beautifully hymnal track “Burden” from his forthcoming album. An instant download of “Burden” – along with previously released “She Burns,” “Upbeat Feelgood” and “Noam Chomsky Is A Soft Revolution” – come with all album preorders. “Burden” is now available at all DSPs and streaming services, and can be heard here.
