Corinne Bailey Rae reveals new video for ‘Green Aphrodisiac’‏

In the lead up to her much lauded May 13 album release, The Heart Speaks In Whispers, Corinne Bailey Rae reveals a striking new video for ‘Green Aphrodisiac’, capturing her at her most sensual.

I absolutely loved making this video,” said Corinne. “The song ‘Green Aphrodisiac’ is about intoxicating spring days and nights, I wrote it with Paris and Amber Strother from KING. It is about sensuality and connecting with the body and how we are part of nature so I was so excited to make a video where I was working with two incredible dancers to create a piece where we were moving like one organism, one flower turning to the sun. The choreographer gave us some beautiful movement and I really got lost in it. It is my first experiment with contemporary dance after dancing ballet for years as a child, but certainly not my last.

Corinne’s highly anticipated third studio album The Heart Speaks In Whispers, will be released on May 13th (Good Groove / Virgin EMI). Her first collection of new material for six years, was recorded at her studio in Leeds, and in Los Angeles. The album is co-produced by Corinne with Steve Brown, her collaborator on her critically acclaimed previous album The Sea.

Corinne has been added to the lineups for both Glastonbury and V Festivals, alongside previously announced performances at British Summer Time – as special guest of Stevie Wonder with Pharrell – Cornbury Festival and on Lionel Richie’s arena tour of the UK.

Corinne’s return to the live stage has seen both fans and critics heaping superlatives on her spellbinding performance at London’s Tabernacle last month.

Corinne represents Europe in the International Olympic Committee’s global 2016 Olympics campaign “Together We Can Change The World”. The short film “Together” is set to a new version of The Roots’ song ‘The Fire’. Also featuring Lenny Kravitz, and voice-overs from Uma Thurman and Juliette Binoche, the song can be heard HERE. It will be aired worldwide in 150 countries by Olympic broadcast partners in the build-up to the games in Rio this summer.
