Dollyrots Announce First Trek Of Summer Dates/Live Album & DVD Family Vacation: Live in Los Angeles Out Now‏

The Dollyrots will be kicking off the first round of Summer tour dates on a California trek with Rikki Styxx as guest drummer and longtime LA friends Go Betty Go rounding off the line-up. Their brand new live album and DVD Family Vacation: Live in Los Angeles is delivered as both a hi-def video/audio download and deluxe double disc set. The fan-funded release is in stores now and distributed through MVD Entertainment Group.

Family Vacation: Live in Los Angeles captures this high-spirited pop punk family on film during a 2015 USA tour with their crew, drummer, nanny and toddler. The DVD features live, behind the scenes, and backstage footage documented by the band and culminates in one blistering performance at the Roxy in Los Angeles captured by filmmaker Ian MacLeod. Guest cameos include Bowling For Soup’s Jaret Reddick, former drummer Chris Black, Go Betty Go’s Aixa Vilar, and the band’s toddler River aka The Dollytot.

The Family Vacation companion live album recently enjoyed a #15 debut on Billboard’s Heatseekers Album Chart and is a live Greatest Hits including sing-along anthems from opening track “My Best Friend’s Hot,” to “Get Weird” and “Come and Get It” from their latest studio album Barefoot and Pregnant. Other highlights include fan favorites “Because I’m Awesome” and “Jackie Chan” along with a pop-punk version of the 1971 Melanie Safka hit “Brand New Key.”

The Dollyrot’s 2014 studio release Barefoot And Pregnant garnered their first chart appearance peaking at #7 on Billboard’s Heatseekers Albums and followed a highly successful crowdsourcing campaign through PledgeMusic. This followed the group’s 2012’s self-titled LP, two albums on Joan Jett’s Blackheart Records, and a 2004 debut through Lookout/Panic Button Records.
