PREMIERE: Friends of the Friendless Stream New EP “Nothing Is Real”

Following our always exciting series of premiere, today we are bringing you an exclusive first listen at Friends of the Friendless’ new EP, a record that just like the band confirmed on our interview below, it showcase a matured and diverse side of the band while keeping the fresh and catchy style that defines them.

Can you talk about your single all my life?

-Yes

Did any particular event inspire this song?

-We actually hated this song and got into an argument and then re recorded it shouting loud af into the mic and then we loved it.

The song is about how a lot of people just don’t understand what we’re about.

How was the film experience?

-We shot the video on my iPhone, using my cats headlights, we were all drinking whiskey and we found some masks and a lighter and a can of spray paint and went to town.

What’s the story behind the title Rebels from outer space

-We are actually from outer space, and we are actually rebellious.

How was the recording and writing process?

-Always easy, fun, and care free… Just having a good time.

What role does space play in your music?

-We are from space. Also weed.

Where did you find inspiration for the songs and lyrics?

-Real life situations. Struggle. Grind. Being misunderstood.

You are currently working on new material – how is that coming along?

-Amazing! The new ep “Nothing is real” is done and drops on April 26 everywhere online. 5 songs.

Would you call it a departure or follow up of your previous material?

-Departure, it’s way better and you can hear the growth.

Any plans to hit the road?

-Yes. We’re looking into options for an opening slot of a big tour this year.
