Following on from the release of his Paint The Ceiling Blue EP at the end of 2015, Tom Prior returns with the visual accompaniment to “Voicemail”, a track from the afore mentioned project, which sees Tom delve into his urban influences; bringing a new and less acoustic sound to the forefront.
The EP speaks volumes of talent, with Tom taking us on a journey through the ghosts of his past, through love and lust, to comments on the essence of life itself. Speaking with an informed yet modern frame of mind, Tom’s sound bends genres, with a timeless flare that merges so well with his undeniable vocal range and talent. From the quasi-rapping vocal heard on “Children” and “Voice Mail”, to the epic soaring chorus of “Take It All”, and the immaculately composed “Thorn In My Side”, Tom’s songs speak louder than his young years.
After appearing in the Radio One Live Lounge last month, alongside Naughty Boy and Little Simz, Tom proved himself as more than a firm one-to-watch for 2016, with this new material further bolstering that claim.
No stranger to the music world, Prior has formulated music which defies boundaries, crossing multiple genres with his unique sound. Tom has garnered support from the likes of Hypetrak, Line of Best Fit, Earmilk, The Beat, Wonderland and more. Li
