CD REVIEW: Road Less Traveled by Boyce Avenue

Boyce Avenue has created a lot of traction and received a large fan base from their impressive covers over the years. They have over 2.5 Billion views on YouTube since they began uploading in 2007 as well as hold the Guinness World Record for ‘Biggest Independent Band on the Planet on YouTube.’ It’s clear they’ve made a lasting impression and their new album Road Less Traveled is something to be excited about. Comprised of 3 brothers, Alejandro, Fabian, and Daniel, Boyce Avenue meets and exceeds expectations with their unwavering talent.

Alejandro’s voice is smooth as butter and when accompanied by Fabian and Daniel’s instrumental genius it’s pure magic. The Road Less Traveled is comprised of so many wonderful songs. A few of my favorites include Cinderella, Imperfect Me,Anchor, and Given Up. These songs have moving, motivational and uplifting lyrics. Any one of these could be my anthem to sing over and over. They are definitely radio worthy and deserve to be showcased. All of their songs are, truthfully. It’s the kind of lyrics and music we all need to hear.

I can’t say a negative thing about this album. It flows, is emotionally moving and leaves a lasting impression. I enjoyed every song on the album. The lyrics are catchy, memorable and fun to sing along to.

It’s great to see their growth and development over the years and it’s really showcased in this album. They’ve come so far since YouTube covers likeMaroon 5’s “She Will Be Loved.” They’ve found their own unique voice to share with the world and this is definitely an album you need in your music collection. I’d like to tell you they sound like a number of artists to give you a comparison but in reality they just sound like Boyce Avenue. However, if you enjoy Jason Mraz, John Mayer, ColbieCaillat, Five For Fighting or Lifehouse, to name a few, then I wholeheartedly believe you’ll love this band, too.

You can watch their YouTube channel, learn more about them on their website www.boyceavenue.com and purchase their album online.
