If you love sophistication, live music and dancing the night away, NYC’s premiere swing band, Svetlana and The Delancey Five, will fit you like a long, silk glove. The group is known not only for their sold-out shows at popular jazz venues, such as BB Kings, Joe’s Pub, Blue Note and Iridium, but also for bringing their energetic sets to more mainstream venues, such as Rockwood Music Hall, Joe’s Pub, City Winery and The Back Room, one of the remaining Manhattan speakeasies. For the past four years, the sextet has produced exuberant, foot-stompin’ music that combines swing with pop-singer/songwriter sensibilities, appealing to fans of both genres as well as vintage-style dancing. The band is excited to introduce their latest track, “It’s All Good,” from their critically acclaimed 14-track debut album, Night at the Speakeasy (Origin Records), available now on digital sites worldwide.
In addition to their swing fans, Svetlana and The Delancey Five continue to gain fans from all tastes and walks of life with performances throughout NYC, including at Club Bonafide, Drom and Rockwood Music Hall. This summer, catch “swing madness” at one of the band’s upcoming outdoor flashmobs, which attract hundreds of dancers young and old to gyrate together in Times Square to the band’s jubilant playing. Be sure to check out the swingin’ pop single, “It’s All Good,” from the S&D5 debut album, Night at the Speakeasy. Stay tuned for their new music video – coming soon!
