Los Angeles duo Woolf and the Wondershow is thrilled to announce they will release their debut EP We Need To Talk on June 10. Today, KCRW premieres the video for the EP’s alt-pop single, “Cages,” which is a look into the curious world that is Woolf and the Wondershow. The video was directed by longtime collaborator David Richardson who captured the duo’s vision to the finale of a dramatic relationship. The video includes costuming in classic Baroque suiting with the whimsicality of fashion designer Alexander McQueen.
Producer/Singer Christopher J Baran and film composer Benjamin J Romans have spent the last two years creating the cinematic world of Woolf and the Wondershow. Previously, the duo released the EP’s lead track, “Cloaked,” which was followed by a spoken word remix featuring actor Ed Westwick (Gossip Girl) – PRESS HERE TO LISTEN. “Cloaked” and “Cages” have each garnered close to a million plays on Spotify. Woolf and the Wondershow recently performed their first-ever live show and concept installment in downtown Los Angeles. For their memorable performance, the two combined the mediums of projection mapped theater, silent film, modernized Victorian fashion, along with an epic performance of their entire forthcoming EP to soundtrack their cutting edge cinematic production.
