London quartet The Boxer Rebellion are pleased to reveal the music video for ‘Big Ideas’, the first single from its highly anticipated new album Ocean By Ocean (Friday, April 29, Absentee Recordings/Kobalt). The video sees the band transformed into sin city gangsters, thrown into a sleazy grime story of a femme fatale, corrupt cop and a crime family in conflict. It was filmed and edited in Hollywood earlier this year by notable director/animator Adam Avilla (Kurt Vile, Red Fang, Giraffage).
“’Big Ideas’ has such a profound and dark reverie that I couldn’t help but be flooded with images,” Avilla said. “It feels so expansive and emotional; like something that plays in your head during the montage of a heartbreak. I wanted to create a surreal story that flips through a series of memories of a lost love, like images you pass along the road and no matter how far or fast you drive you can’t escape.” ‘Big Ideas’ is now available for fans to instantly download when Ocean By Ocean is pre-ordered at iTunes or Amazon.
