J Burn Announces New Album, Randomly Banded, Releasing on May 6th

J Burn is back with his much anticipated follow up to the highly acclaimed Burnt Blue, which will be released everywhere on May 6th. The new album, Randomly Branded, contains 8 original tracks, which interweave their way across multiple music styles and genres, including rock, Americana, shades of Country, Punk and tinges of psychedelia. Recorded with an old school studio vibe, focusing on lyrical content and song creation, the album was designed to build an organic feeling and sound experience. “So many talented people contributed to this effort. From the musicians, to the engineers, right down to the art for the cover (Marq Spusta). I couldn’t be happier with how it all turned out, ” says Jay Burn.
Recorded at legendary Grateful Dead founding member Bob Weir’s TRI Studios in San Rafael, CA, the album uses a list of well know veteran musicians from the San Francisco Bay area, including Jay Lane (Bob Weir’s Rat Dog, Further, Primus & Golden Gate Wingmen), Robin Sylvester (Rat Dog, Ry Cooder & Kate Wolf) and Jason Crosby (Phil Lesh and Friends, Susan Tedeschi & Eric Clapton). 
Jay Burn is a singer, songwriter from the San Francisco Bay Area with influences ranging from The Grateful Dead, Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, Neil Young, and Tom Petty. Jay has had the opportunity to work with a list of very well respected musicians and engineers to bring his story telling song creations to life.
