REWS are a young Irish/London based high energy female rock duo sent here to inspire people to be who they are, dance, sing, have fun yet address those deep issues that people face in everyday life. Amen to that right!

Consisting of songstress Shauna Tohill and beat-maker Collette Williams together they’ve been creating a genuine buzz with their brand of ultra-infectious alt rock.

With their last single ‘Death Yawn’ picking up fantastic support from top radio tastemakers like Steve Lamacq, Radio X’s John Kennedy and Dan O’Connell and Shell Zenner of Amazing Radio, REWS now hit us with another slice of their ultra catchy alt rock which is freshly feisty yet recalling the raw grunge-punk of bands like The Breeders and Throwing Muses.

Getting a coveted slot at this year’s Great Escape festival in Brighton as well as being championed by various bodies at BBC 1, 6, Radio X and more this is going to be a quick climb to the summit for this talented duo. Shauna has recently toured as guest vocalist with Snow Patrol and as bassist with Darwin Deez and is responsible for one of the most recognizable Irish advert syncs of the last few years with the track ‘Can’t Keep Up’. Collette is also a hugely talented vocalist and session musician and can be seen drumming in the video for Gabrielle Aplin’s current hit single ‘Sweet Nothing’.

Together as REWS they are an incredible creative force, instantly engaging and edgy with such a big sound coming from just these two musicians! New single ‘Shake Shake’ is an exuberant blast of fuzzy awesomeness brimming with emotion. Live, they are a force to be reckoned with, totally blowing away recent audiences with style and substance.

Upcoming tour dates:

15-Apr   Whelans, Dublin

16-Apr   Crescent Arts, Belfast

19-Apr   The Social, London

20-May The Great Escape Brighton
