New York City’s SAVAK are excited to share a new single off their upcoming debut album Best Of Luck In Future Endeavors. “Drop The Pieces” is out now and premiered via Consequence of Sound who said, “NYC punk supergroup finds the sweet spot between the Buzzcocks and barroom rock…new single ‘Drop the Pieces’ doesn’t disappoint, with its airtight, spaghetti Western-sounding guitar riffs and ’70s punk swagger. It only gets weirder and better once you scope the lyric sheet” The band’s Sohrab Habibion spoke with Consequence of Sound about the track. Best Of Luck In Future Endeavors will be released on May 27 via Comedy Minus One and it was produced by Geoff Sanoff and SAVAK. The band previously shared album track “Reaction” and Austin Town Hall said, “It’s an old sound, revamped to fit into the modern landscape” while Brooklyn Vegan called it an “anthemic stormer.”
SAVAK recently played to packed rooms at SXSW and have several NYC shows confirmed including at NYC‘s LePoisson Rouge on April 13 and The Bell House in Brooklyn on May 11. SAVAK will be playing a record release party at Shea Stadium, also in Brooklyn, on May 27.
