6ix in the 6ix: A New Toronto Anthem Has Been Released!

As you may or may not have heard, few days back CBC Toronto hosted a public-facing series called 6ix in the 6ix. As part of this series, CBC Toronto issued a challenge to GTA musicians, asking them to write an original song about Toronto, or `The 6ix.` The response was overwhelming and hundreds of people entered.  After a public vote, 12 musicians made the shortlist.  A CBC judging panel crowned Britney the winner for her track, “From the 6ix.“

Britney won $10,000, a professional recording and a CBC-produced music video. On Monday, March 28, 2016 , music producer David Mewa released his vision for Toronto`s new anthem on all CBC platforms. The video features prominent Torontonians and CBC hosts.
