Cathartic, Blues-battered Rob Baird Release New Single ‘Wrong Side Of The River’

Memphis-born musician Rob Baird steps out of his comfort zone and makes ‘Wrong Side of the River’ in a garage with no mixing board, inexpensive mics (together all cost less than $800), and hungry musicians, yielding his Brian Douglas Phillips-produced (original David Ramirez, Penny + Sparrow records) concept LP out May 13. Sonically, the band was the key factor. Personally, Baird had absolute determination to make a great album after putting his ass (for lack of better terms) on the line and leaving Carnival. It all made for the perfect storm. It was his career, his record, and his money for the first time ever in all-reality. Listen here.

After wrapping performances at Willie Nelson’s Luck Reunion and the famed Arlyn Studios, Baird is continuing to expand his reach, currently touring in support of ‘Wrong Side of the River.’
