With over 1.1 million sales and more than 100 million YouTube views, the US pop-punk rockers All Time Low are riding high after the last album, ‘Future Hearts’ topped the UK charts at the end of 2015.
So who else is joining us this June? Let’s start with British grindcore legends Napalm Death. Since 1981 the band have been releasing classic album after classic album. The West Midlands four-piece have been crushing Download since they headlined the third stage in 2005. They’ll be joined by Geordie punk rockers The Wildhearts whose original member Ginger is back with the band, and Pennywise who’ll be bringing their classic American punk rock.
Texan hard-rockers Scorpion Child will be joining the line up to showcase their 1970s Krautrock, while The Temperance Movement will be heading to the Lemmy stage with their stunning blues-rock sound. Glassjaw will be performing tracks from their long-long-awaited new album which, if their recent releases are anything to go by, is going to sound incredible.
Making their Download debuts are trans-Atlantic blues, rock and soul quartet Buck & Evans, while Royal Republic will be making their welcome return after their double performance in 2011. Scattering Ashes and psych-rockers Weirds will be powering through their trademark energetic and eclectic sets for what’s sure to be some unforgettable performances.
LA-based metalcore supergroup Devil You Know brings together John Sankey, Francesco Artusato, Howard Jones and Logan Mader to create a blinding sound. Joining them is The Shrine who’ll be showcasing the west coast’s trademark skater vibes to Donington. UK’s own The Raven Age round out the line up announcement, fresh off the back of supporting Download’s own headliners Iron Maiden on their 2016 world tour.
