Sunshine Gun Club Release Video for ‘Fading Lights’: Debut ‘Heaven’ via Wiener Records May 6th‏

Sunshine Gun Club have unveiled their new video for ‘Fading Lights’ from their debut full length entitled ‘Heaven’ (out via Wiener Records on May 6th.) The set will be available digitally and on cassette. Describing themselves as “Skuzzy, melodic punk rock from Brooklyn NYC”,  the band was born out of the rubble of Brooklyn’s art punk DIY scene in the early 2000 teens with the result being  fast paced, energetic, lo-fi and extremely catchy. Created by Dan Walker, this explosive new outfit is based out of the cultural hub of Bushwick, where the project is realized as a studio born concept at local recording hotspot for artists and producers, The Submarine.  Walker has worked with an impressive assortment of artists in the studio including Guerilla Toss/DFA Records, The Prettiots/Rough Trade, Tone of Arc remix for Yukon Blonde’s “Saturday Night” on Dine Alone Records as well as his own outfit The Death Set for Dim Mak Records.

Sunshine Gun Club is rounded out by Denis Red Scare (ex Boot Blacks) on bass, Rex Weaver (ex Team Robespierre) on guitar/backing vocals and Will Broussard (Village Psychic) on drums with Walker fronting the mess. This new band fuses all the vital energy of punk rock into the ever progressive reality of New York City that brings together a wonderful onslaught of fun, high velocity entertainment, with a live show bursting full of super charged A.D.D. hysteria.
