Glass Gang shares new single‏

Following the release of their 2014 mixtape Lower, Brooklyn’s Glass Gang spent the bulk of 2015 writing new material and testing it out live when hand-picked to open for acts like Shura, Father, Lapsley, Young Fathers and more. Upon connecting with Flood protege Sonny Diperri (Animal Collective, Warpaint, M83), the band honed in on their sound and spent two weeks recording with him, yielding two new singles. STREAM: “Outside Your Love

Now Zane Lowe and The FADER have premiered the first of those singles. New track “Outside Your Love” is a far cry from the reserved mood music of Lower — it’s a song with an earworm of a refrain unlike any of the band’s previous material. Speaking about its inspiration, Glass Gang said, “We went to a karaoke birthday party in Chinatown and no one was singing any songs that’d come out in the last 10 years. We met up the next day, threw out everything we were writing for our first album and started writing songs that you can sing along to.”

Check out the song above now, stay tuned for the second of new singles soon and see below for details about the band’s show in New York this week.
