Atlantic recording artist Shinedown has announced plans to headline the 2016 Carnival of Madness Tour. Bandsintown exclusively reported the tour announcement earlier this morning: http://bit.ly/2297h36 The sixth annual trek – also featuring Atlantic Records labelmates Halestorm, Black Stone Cherry, Whiskey Myers, and more – embarks July 20th at Southhaven, MS’s Landers Center and then travels through mid-August (see attached itinerary). Pre-sales begin on Tuesday, March 15th at 12:00 pm local time; all remaining tickets will be available in most markets from Friday, March 18th at 10:00 am local time. Fans will have the option to purchase a special collector’s edition 3-D ticket commemorating the event when they purchase tickets for the tour. Shinedown frontman Brent Smith says: “I’ve always envisioned the Carnival of Madness as more than just a music festival. It is a celebration of rock music where the lines between those on stage and those in the audience are blurred. Where everyone is sharing in this amazing moment. Truly experiencing the power of rock music together. This year, we’ve gathered artists from across the rock spectrum to bring the most dynamic Carnival of Madness to date. Come join us.”
Shinedown are no strangers to Carnival of Madness having co-headlined the rock spectacle in four of its five prior US runs as well as its just concluded debut UK edition. The multi-platinum certified rock band returned home and immediately set out on a major US headline tour, concluding this Friday, March 18th at Deadwood, SD’s Deadwood Casino. Next up is a wide-ranging spring schedule that spans headline shows, co-headline dates with Five Finger Death Punch and special guests P.O.D., and an array of US festivals and radio-sponsored concerts including Tucson, AZ’s KMFA Day 2016 (April 16th), Tampa, FL’s 98Rockfest (April 29th), Ft. Myers, FL’s Monster Energy Fort Rock (May 1st), Virginia Beach, VA’s FM99 Lunatic Luau (May 6th), Charlotte, NC’s Carolina Rebellion (May 7th), Somerset, WI’s Northern Invasion (May 14th-15th), Columbus, OH’s Rock On The Range X (May 20th), Camden, NJ’s MMR*B*Q (May 21st), Schaghticoke, NY’s Rock’n Derby (May 22nd), and Oshkosh, WI’s Rock USA (July 16th).
June will see Shinedown crossing the Atlantic for a marathon European tour highlighted by headline shows and such famous festivals as Germany’s Rock am Ring (June 3rd) and Rock am Park (June 4th), Download Festival Paris (June 11th) Download Festival UK (June 12th), France’s Hellfest 2016! (June 17th), and Zürich’s Rock The Ring (June 18th). For complete details and ticket information, please log on to www.shinedown.com/shows.
