GTA Release New Mixtape -JWLS IS BORED- Today Via Soundcloud, YouTube, and BitTorrent‏

DJ and production duo  GTA (Julio Mejia and Matt Toth) release a brand-new mixtape, entitled JWLS IS BORED, today via SoundcloudYouTube, and BitTorrent. The band premiered the mixtape at Adults Only in Hollywood last night in conjunction with PIZZASLIME.

The project first started in 2012 when Mejia was bored one night. He began messing around with heavily-sampled track ideas – mostly quick, one-minute long tracks he’d post to his personal SoundCloud page. Fans quickly started asking about these experimental tracks. The concepts, however, which were riddled with samples and not developed into fully-formed tracks, were never intended to be officially released. Over the years, the series has become known as JWLS IS BORED, and its components have developed a cult-like following. Fans notoriously seek JIB tracks as some of the most in-demand unreleased music of its kind.

In anticipation of GTA’s debut full-length studio album, the duo wanted to do something special for their diehard, longtime fans. Mejia has developed and completed the JWLS IS BORED concept and GTA is now rolling out the tracks to be given away for free via BitTorrent, as well an accompanying 30-minute Minimix on Soundcloud and YouTube.

With the Good Times Ahead In The Paint charity event in Miami just recently announced, an immense 2016 Hakkasan residency and an abundance of new music on the way, it’s clear GTA shows no signs of slowing in 2016.
