NYC’s rock n’ roll revivalists JEREMY & THE HARLEQUINS have premiered a new single entitled “No One Cares,” along with announcing a supporting run of tour dates with singer/songwriter Eli Paperboy Reed. The track premiered on Thursday at Consequence of Sound, who refers to the track as “a throwback take on rock n’ roll,” and is also available for streaming at Spotify and other services. “When Paul McCartney can’t get into a Grammy after party, what does that say about the state of rock ‘n roll?” adds vocalist Jeremy Fury. “No one cares? We do. And this song is about bringin’ that energy back.”
Jeremy & The Harlequins are coming off an unprecedented 2015 with their debut album American Dreamer. Not only was one of that record’s songs – ‘Trip Into The Light’ – featured in the Tom Cruise film Edge Of Tomorrow, it was also voted as the “Coolest Track of the Year” by the listeners of Little Steven’s Underground Garage radio show. Bruce Springsteen’s right hand man, Steve Van Zandt, personally selected it as his coolest track in the world for the month of July. Channeling the influences of 1950s and ’60s rock’n’roll through the (cell phone) camera lens of 2016, Jeremy Fury (vocals), Craig Bonich and Patrick Meyer (guitars), Stevie Fury (drums) and Bobby Ever (bass), have once again collectively captured the sound of New York both in the here and now and the there and then.
Fans can expect the band’s new full-length album Into the Night to be released later in 2016 on Yep Roc Records. A list of upcoming tour dates with Eli Paperboy Reed and additional shows can be found below.
