PREMIERE: TWINS Announce the Release of New EP, Single and Video for “Mary’s Sister Margaret”

If you are a big fan of The Replacements, Big Star, T-Rex, Weezer, Wilco, Cheap Trick, The Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen or Rockpile, get ready for perhaps one of our most exciting premieres of the week. Coming all the way from Waterloo, TWINS is back with one mission only, and that is to save rock and roll. VENTS have teamed up with the band to premiere the new video for their latest single “Mary’s Sister Margaret”.

The EP features the can’t-get-it-out-of-your-head new single, “Mary’s Sister Margaret” — along with one other cut from their forthcoming LP (to be released July 2016) and two shit hot b-sides from the album sessions.

Kiss of Life Teaser video:

Kiss of Life Tracklist:

1. Mary’s Sister Margaret (3:44)

2. Feels So Good (2:33)

3. This Time (2:11)

4. H Stones (3:33)

Kiss of Life cover (artwork by Devin Ferguson):

All tracks were recorded at Sonic Factory Recording Studio in Des Moines, Iowa, with engineer Matt Sepanic (Slipknot, The Envy Corps) and producer Patrick Tape Fleming (Gloom Balloon, The Poison Control Center). The sessions were recorded live, with minimal overdubs. Sepanic and Fleming mixed the EP along with Ian Williams. Tracks were mastered by Doug Van Sloun.

The title for Kiss of Life was derived from a turnaround of fortune for TWINS. The scrapping of an entire recording session in Chicago and personal struggles were nearly the kiss of death for the band. Once TWINS teamed up with their rock & roll soulmates Fleming and Sepanic, though, the magic was back. The resulting recordings were enough to be the band’s kiss of life instead of death — and it just might be enough to save rock & roll.

TWINS’ Kiss Of Life EP will be available via iTunes, and all other digital platforms.
