Chelsea Wolfe has announced the release of the Hypnos/Flame 7” April 1st via Sargent House. The two songs are b-sides from her widely acclaimed Abyss, which was praised by The New York Times, The Guardian, NPR, and more, and follow her cover of Eagles of Death Metal’s “I Love You All Of The Time” which was named Best New Track by Pitchfork. “Hypnos” and “Flame” are both spare and haunting; even at her quietest Wolfe’s music is full of tension and fierceness. “Hypnos” is available to post now. The two songs will also be available on a special deluxe version of Abyss, available digitally April 1st, which will also feature demo versions of album tracks “Grey Days,” “Simple Death,” and “Survive.” Pre-order is available for the 7” HERE.
Wolfe has announced an extensive full band tour of the US today as well, where she will be joined by London duo and labelmates A Dead Forest Index, who will be supporting their debut In All That Drifts From Summit Down. The tour includes stops at Levitation festivals in Chicago and Austin, Treefort Music Festival, and Sasquatch. Wolfe and her band will be performing songs from Abyss as well as past albums Pain is Beauty and Apokalypsis.
