Hi View, welcome to VENTS! How have you been?

-I`m doing great. We’ve been really busy with my producer doing gigs and working on the album.

Can you talk to us more about your latest single “Coldest Season”?

-Its a song about the changes that Ive been through in the past year…the core of the song is about me doing what I want, not what Im expected to do.

Did any event in particular inspired you to write this song?

– We were thinking a new single release with my producer, when we had the idea to make a song that focuses on the present moment not the past. I wanted to make a song that expresses how I`m feeling about the media attention and people who don’t like the way were doing our music.

Any plans to release a video to go along the single?

– Yes. There is a music video for the single and It`s coming out this week.

How was the recording and writing process?

– This one was one of the easiest songs we have made this far. Writing process took only a week and the whole song took only three studio sessions. Our chemistry works perfectly with my producer, so it doesn’t take long to get our vision out of the monitors.

Why did you decide to make a much darker song?

– I dont consider this song as a dark one. My last single Lace focused on depression and hard times that I`ve been trough, but Coldest Season is more like a statement. It states that I`m going to do what I want not what expected. The production is kinda dark but I think its more of a banger than a dark one. Guess in Finland we have a lot of dark rap music and thats why its hard for me to put this one in the dark category.

Does the new single mean we can expect a new album – how’s that coming along?

Yes. We are planning to release the album in early 2017. If compared to Avalon EP, I think the album is going to include quite many songs that are totally different. Also we are doing collaborations with artists that are from different genre so thats gonna add some spice on the top.

Any tentative release date or title in mind?

– We haven’t got any title yet. The release is happening in early 2017.

Any plans to hit the road?

– In Finland we have booked all the major festivals and at the moment and we are doing club shows almost every weekend around Finland. We have few gigs booked abroad as well and we recently signed a booking deal with an German agent, so I think more will follow.

What else is happening next in View’s world?

– At the moment we are really focusing on the album and getting it out on time. We just signed a record deal in Germany withCargo Records, which is pretty exciting to us.
