MERCER DROPS “OPIUM” FROM UPCOMING OPIUM EP

As Confession continues to forge the path of innovative and fresh sounds, it’s no surprise that they’ve enlisted the likes of French Producer / DJ powerhouse Mercer to drop the lead single “Opium” from his aptly titled Opium EP onTchami’sprominent label. Available to purchase on iTunes, “Opium” serves as the 2nd EP to have come out of the imprint following Tchami’s massive “After Life” EP.

First featured in Tchami’s ‘What To Expect’ mix when the label was initially launched, “Opium” comes at the quintessential time as fans have been patiently waiting for it ever since it was teased. Kicking off with a steady 4×4 kick drum intertwined with swirling synths, the track transitions into a melodic piano riff as it steadily builds up to one of Mercer’s most frenetic drops to date. Fully encompassing a grimy yet glitchambiance, “Opium” serves as the perfect slice of mainstage madness that many have grown to love from this French maestro.

Having released critically acclaimed records in the past such as “Welcome To The Jungle”, “Turn It Up” and more, Mercer’s new single doesn’t fall short of this pattern and churns out yet another high octane tune.
