Brother-sister duo XYLØ are thrilled to announce the release of their upcoming EP America via Disruptor Records on February 26, 2016. The duo premiered a new track off the EP titled “Bang Bang,” a raw, in your face experimental pop track with Beats 1 Radio and KCRW.com today, LISTEN HERE to listen.
“Bang Bang is about when you feel unstoppable and all that matters is now,” says Paige Duddy. “And the EP is very autobiographical. Each song is a mini chapter of our lives. They range from love and euphoria to heartache and anxiety (and everything in between.”
The duo first found success with their debut track “America,” a hazy pop ballad about love and freedom that was featured in an online PacSun commercial staring Kendall and Kylie Jenner. The internet lit up in response and the track garnered over 1.6 million listens on Soundcloud, as well as reached #1 on Hypemachine. Since then, the band has released three singles – “Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea,” “Afterlife,” and “L.A. Love Song” – with each one garnering millions of listens and contributing to the buzz around the band. At the end of 2015, XYLØ finally decided to sign a major label deal with Sony’s Disruptor Records.
“This EP was created out of my home studio which I had built in just two weeks,” says Chase Duddy. “We instantly jumped into creating XYLØ, making our vision come to life. We had very little money and resources to get the project off the ground. We collaborated on the song writing, which I then produced and mixed all out of my garage. To me this EP represents the inception of XYLØ and making music independently. We’re now fortunate to be under Disruptor Record’s wing with the launch of the America EP.”
