MOSSY Premieres Debut Video “Electric Chair”; EP Out May 9

Sydney’s Jamie Timony introduced the world to his psych-pop project MOSSY today with the premiere of his magnetizing debut single “Electric Chair” and its accompanying video. Stereogum premiered the video, saying, “[Mossy] makes theatrical and hard-hitting pop music filtered through a filmy and distorted lens. ‘Electric Chair’ is his debut single, and will be featured on his debut EP later this year – it’s an oddly soulful psychedelic track that cascades outwards, and an atmosphere that’s meditative but not too pensive.” The stunning “Electric Chair” video was inspired by the Greek myth of Narcissus and Echo and was directed by the acclaimed Kris Moyes (Grizzly Bear, Beck, Sia, The Rapture). “Electric Chair” will appear on Mossy’s self-titled debut EP, out May 9 on I OH YOU.
