Oklahoma rapper STARR drops ‘Memory Pains’

Oklahoma Hip Hop artist and creator StaRR (formerly Young Star) announces his new project with the single ‘Memory Pains’ out 25th March. Listen here.

This rousing, hard hitting rock inspired track sees StaRR left wondering why as he contemplates the lost love of his wife as memories and regret take hold. The guitar and piano laden production is topped off by with a killer chorus hook with an epic mini movie style video to boot.

Previous credits include writing and featuring on DJ E-Feezy’s #SYU featuring Plies, Trina and Super Jay. The track was picked up and supported by platforms Worldstar, Rap-Up and more. Other collabs include with Rick RossMaybach Music artist Young Breed as well as tracks with established names K-Camp and Bankroll Fresh.

A move to Oklahoma City via San Diego and California aged 11 helped shaped StaRR into the artist he is today. After founding the label ‘6g Mafia/OyesOyes Ent’ with fellow cohorts he decided to pick up the mic and a pen and take this rap game seriously, creating a sound you wouldn’t expect from someone born and raised in the West.

It wasn’t long before Young Star (as he was called then) hit the live circuit, pounding stages across the region, portraying his millennial escapades of him and his comrades in his rhymes. A relentless work ethic even earned him the moniker King of Oklahoma!

Watch out for a string of new releases in 2016. Official music video out soon..
