Released earlier this month, Molly Drag’s Tethered Rendering received acclaim for its multidimensional sound and emotional affections. Yesterday, a music video for the track “Rabbits” directed by Claudia Carlson premiered on Noisey, who said the video complements Molly Drag’s layered sound and forms “one strange and fragmented experience.” Additionally, Molly Drag announced his first U.S. tour with the premiere, which sees him explore the east coast.
The cassette is available on Broken World’s store.

Molly Drag is the work of Michael Hansford, a songwriter from London, Ontario whose beautiful debut album Deeply Flawed promptly enchanted us. Where Deeply Flawed felt more like a collection of basement tapes, the sophomore album Tethered Rendering is the ethereal noise heard when one transcends the depths and is finally able to bask in light. M. Hanford has pulled down barriers between genres to be able to create a truly spiritual experience that is a rollercoaster from front to finish. This is what it sounds like to be in the presence of an unknown specter. This is what it feels like to drown in cotton candy. This is Molly Drag.
