Celebrated Artists Matt Dusk And Florence K Debut “Somethin’ Stupid” At Radio Across Canada Today/Duets Album “Quiet Nights” Available February 12‏

Acclaimed Jazz artists Matt Dusk and Florence K announced today the debut of a radio single and music video for their collaborative rendition of the classic songSomethin’ Stupid”, written in 1966 by C. Carson Parks.  Originally made popular by Frank Sinatra and his daughter Nancy, “Somethin’ Stupid” is the first single from Matt & Florence’s duets album Quiet Nights, available in stores across Canada and at iTunes on February 12 (via Productions J).

“Quiet Nights” marks the Canadian debut of an ambitious and innovative project that sees Matt Dusk release the duets album in a number of global markets, all with a distinguished and notable partner, and follows highly praised releases of the album in Japan and Poland.  With voices that complement one another, Matt Dusk, the adored platinum-selling crooner from Toronto, and Florence K, the celebrated songstress from Quebec, deliver a seamless bilingual version of the famous Jazz standard “Somethin’ Stupid”, which made its Canadian radio debut yesterday (1/24) during Ici Florence, Florence K’s highly praised radio show on CBC Radio-Canada’s continuous music streaming station, ICI Musique. A fun and whimsical music video was released later the same day both on Matt’s and Florence’s Twitter and Facebook pages.

Through rich orchestrations reminiscent of the 50s Rat Pack, Matt Dusk and Florence K revisit and cover well-known standards like Sunshine of My Life, The Girl From Ipanema and Just the Two of Us,  – paying homage to the classics on Quiet Nights.
