Atmospheric alt-rock group State to State recently premiered their brand new single “My Little Phony” with Paste Magazine. Fans can stream the track here. “My Little Phony” is the first single off of the band’s forthcoming EP Motives, which is the follow up to 2014’s No Bounds LP, and will be available digitally and physically on February 5th. “The song takes a look into a particularly fast lifestyle that is clinging by a thread to stay relevant through young women, drugs, and night life,” said lead vocalist Shea Stratton. “Here’s lookin’ at you, Los Angeles.”
To celebrate the release of Motives the band will be performing a record release show at The Lost Room in Echo Park on February 5th. Tickets are available here.
In other news, the band recently appeared on the Suicide Girls Radio podcast to talk about the new EP and perform an acoustic track. Fans can view an archived version of the show here.
Since forming in 2010 the band have slowly been building the groundwork for success in Los Angeles with residencies at notable venues like The Viper Room and Hotel Cafe. They have also performed at the Pancakes and Booze pop-up art show as well as Eat See Hear & Street Food Cinema.
With Motives State to State are ready to make waves within the Los Angeles alt scene, and with tour dates in the works for early 2016, they have their eyes set on the rest of the country.
