‘Insignificant’ is a moment of reflection for Hannah Boleyn centered around a haunting piano, heart wrenching strings and her signature vocals. ‘Insignificant’ asks the listener to contemplate ‘What is important in life?’. Says Boleyn of the track “ It’s about a moment when I was told that someone I loved was being rushed into hospital. All the silly little things that I’d been worrying about suddenly seemed so unimportant and I just needed that person to be ok. I remember being in that moment and the line ‘I’m losing you, nothing else matters’ came to me.”
Describing her sound as ‘cinematic soul’, Hannah Boleyn takes influences from artists such as Amy Winehouse, Lana Del Ray and Shirley Bassey.
‘Insignificant’ is taken from Hannah Boleyn’s debut album ‘The Boleyn Affair’.
