ODESZA’s Foreign Family Collective is pleased to announce the release of its first ever full-length album from juggernaut Australian trio RÜFÜS DU SOL. Bloom, the band’s sophomore album, comes out January 22nd ahead of what will be a breakout year. The trio recently won the “Best Dance Release” ARIA (Australia’s GRAMMY equivalent) for Bloom’s “You Were Right.” On top of a forthcoming headline tour to be announced soon, they will perform at Coachella and Firefly, the first of many major festival appearances to come.
Today, Foreign Family Collective is proud to share the next single “Say A Prayer For Me” from RÜFÜS DU SOL’s album Bloom. Premiered via Entertainment Weekly, “Say A Prayer For Me” is a sleek crossover track showcasing the trio’s refined musicianship. Keyboardist Jon George, vocalist/guitarist Tyrone Lindqvist and drummer James Hunt bring a unique and refreshing perspective to the electronic space. They’re part of a growing contingent of Australian showstoppers, fusing live and club elements into their music, and are quickly ascending in the States.
ODESZA’s Harrison Mills explains, “When an opportunity arose to work with RÜFÜS DU SOL on releasing a track through our label Foreign Family Collective, we sprung at the idea. They sent us the album to check out and we were blown away. Up until this point, FFC had only released singles. After hearing Bloom in its entirety, we knew we had to break that mold and put out the complete album. It’s one of the best albums we’ve come across in the last decade and we couldn’t be prouder to give it a home at Foreign Family Collective.” The Seattle duo toured Australia for the first time in 2014 as support for RÜFÜS DU SOL, who recently returned the favor on ODESZA’s sold out In Return World Tour.
