Singer-songwriter Casey Bolles will release an EP comprised of cover songs called Manhattan on January 22nd via Pure Noise Records. The record includes heartfelt covers in Bolles’ unique voice of The Postal Service’s “Such Great Heights,” The Mountain Goats’ “Going To Georgia” and The 1975’s “Chocolate,” which has been revealed today at AltPress.com.
“I wanted to release this cover EP while I’m writing my first LP,” Casey Bolles explains. “I had a lot of fun recording these songs for a couple days with my good friend (and the producer of my first EP Freshman), Jay Zubricky in my hometown, Buffalo. Manhattan is a series of covers that Jay and I recorded over the summer, with artwork by another friend of mine, Chelsea Beck. This EP sounds different from anything I’ve done before and from what I plan to do, so I hope people enjoy this departure from my original music.”
Known for his quirky style and honest delivery, Casey Bolles’ release of Manhattan follows his 2015 acoustic EP, Freshman, which received acclaim from fans and has helped propel him to new heights in the indie music scene.
