Folk-rock artist, Ellis Dodi, announces the release of her video for “Black Rope.” WATCH HERE. The video, which was filmed at Young Lion Studios in Rochester, NY, was directed by Eric Johnston, produced by Dodi’s longtime collaborator/music producer, Chris Pinset, and conceptualized by Dodi herself. “Black Rope” is taken from Dodi’s 2015 self-released sophomore EP, Exhibit.
Ellis Dodi is the solo project of New York City-based singer-songwriter, Erica Di Loreto. With a diverse background in theatre, dance and music, Di Loreto first began playing guitar and crafting her own songs while in college. By the time she graduated and moved to Brooklyn, Di Loreto was already familiar with Bushwick’s underground DIY scene, through her involvement with The Neverlands, a warehouse space turned underground venue. Shortly thereafter, Di Loreto began performing around Brooklyn and Manhattan’s Lower East Side, under the stage name, Ellis Dodi.
This January, Dodi will embark on a New England tour, comprised of stops in Providence, Boston, Burlington and more. Dodi is also currently planning a tour of the Southern United States, which will include a few shows at SXSW in Austin, TX. Her follow-up to Exhibit, an 8-track EP, will be released late Spring 2016.
