In the lead up to the release of Sketch: The Reprise, Bemyoda is proud to unveil the brand new video for one of the EP’s stand out songs ‘Always’, premiered via Clash Magazine. Produced by Atta Lenell, with additional production from veteran Nashville producer and musician Paul Scholten, and written by Bemyoda, ‘Always’ is a tribute to a very dear friend of his and fellow musician Daniel NewKing, who recently lost his life in a car crash.
The emotive visuals for ‘Always’ see Bem collaborating with Romanian illustrator Dan Ungureanu, and animator Alma Cazacu, to create a simple paper-cut animation which tells a story of two boys forming a strong friendship and sharing good times, until one of the boys suddenly gets taken away, mirroring the very events that inspired yda to write ‘Always’ for his friend who passed away.
