PREMIERE: Crown Jwlz Release New Music Video for “Without U”

Today, singer-Songwriter-Rocker Crown Jwlz and VENTS Magazine have join forces for the premiere of her first single “Without U” today from her upcoming debut EP “California King” slated to be released in early 2016.

With her sultry voice taking center stage over rhythmic riffs she is at her best as she tackles tough subjects such as gender inequality and double-standards. Crown Jwlz is eager to bring her music and message to the masses, shake it up and rattle outlooks. “As a title, California King refutes the principal that only a man can be king,” she explains.

After spending the last couple of years evolving as an artist and songwriter and playing local clubs on the streets of Hollywood and the Sunset Strip. Following a month of adventures in The Philippines, she returned to Los Angeles and received a vision for Crown Jwlz. The aesthetic would match the music’s robust rock ‘n’ roll soul. In order to capture that, she not only built a six-piece band, affectionately known as “The Royal Court,” and larger-than-life stage show, but she also collaborated with an all-star team of producers including Max Coane [Jack’s Mannequin,] Maxwell Moon [Macy Gray,] and Erik Belz [will.i.am, Juicy J.] Mixed by Noah Georgeson [The Strokes, Little Joy] and mastered by Ted Jensen [Muse, Florence + the Machine,] she harnesses a raw energy that’s as focused as it is fiery.

Discovering her voice early on, she received formal training in school—in between religiously attending punk rock shows. After graduating Musicians Institute in Hollywood, she immersed herself in the city’s scene. “I always wanted to bring that same feeling to music that I got but without the bullshit,” she continues “and I hope my upcoming EP does that.”

For her debut release Crown Jwlz enlisted an all-star team of producers that include Max Coane [Jack’s Mannequin,] Maxwell Moon [Macy Gray,] and Erik Belz [will.i.am, Juicy J.] The songs were mixed by Noah Georgeson [The Strokes, Little Joy] and mastered by Ted Jensen [Muse, Florence + the Machine.] http://www.crownjwlz.com
