I’m a solo emcee from Chicago, IL.
How you got started in the music scene?
When I was in the Marines we were in France; I got the oppurtunity to get on the mic, the rest is history.
What’s your method at the time of writing a song?
I usually have a concept in mind, then I try to build and make each bar better than the last, each verse better than the last one. I try to make sure my lyrics are in tact.
What are your music influences?
Nas, NWA, Ice Cube and Rakim.
So tell us more about your upcoming new album, Focus or Fold. Can you talk to us more about it, how was the recording and writing process?
My new album Focus or Fold is my third LP it will be out in the third quarter. It’s crazy, nothing sounds the same. There’s 15 tracks. I got some fire on the production side my man Frank Lito, 7thson, Banks, Red City from the Shock Squad and my man Da Cypha really blessed me. When I’m working on my albums I don’t want everthing to sound the same, so sometimes I’ll write in isolation and create a concept to the beat. Sometimes i’ll go off of an idea to fit the direction i’m trying to go with certain songs. The best part is writing on the spot, because then it sounds more raw. I take my time to make sure everything is right.
Also, you are currently on the road? Can you give us more details?
Yeah, I’ve been doing shows in my city and throughout the midwest. Iowa, Wisconsin, Ohio, Chicago and Missouri. I’ve been performing in these places and i’ve been getting a lot of love as a indie artist. I can’t complain I Love the music. There’s nothing like the live performances and interacting with the crowd, it’s awesome.
Speaking of which, what has been the funniest moment you have been or took part while touring?
The funniest thing is I was out with my family and someone asked for an autograph and my daughter asked me if I was famous.
Are there any more plans for the near future?

Do you feel you are moving on the right direction? Yes I feel that i’m moving in the right direction because I’m working hard. As an independent artist you can’t be lazy; the more work you put in, the more you get back.
