Ceazar

Talk to us more about Ceazar. How you got started in music?

I was drawn into hip hop at a young age living in New York City the hip-hop culture is inescapable I first started rapping in Jr high school at about age 12 it was just something to do at the time my friends did it so I was doing it to. Then in 8th grade there was a talent show and I joined in after performing in front of the whole school to a crowd of about 500 people and hearing the response from them I knew this was something I wanted to do. At the age of 16 was the first time I met Raekwon through my manager Greg Magras who had known Rae for over 10 years. Rae was on the Rock The Bells tour then and I spent the day backstage around the likes of the Wu-Tang Clan, Flava Flav, Rakim, and so many more. That was the first time I had been to a hip-hop concert and it was a crazy experience that made me only want to be involved in this game even more. I then continued to just build my craft and worked on my music mainly out of my house at the time recording on a small handheld mic with a du rag wrapped around it. At the age of 18 I again linked up with Raekwon and he told me to come out to LA with him so I did. I was living out in LA with Rae for about 8 Months me him and the rest of the ICEH2O crew stayed in this mansion he had out there at the time Rae was recording his 2009 album “Only Built 4 Cuban Linx 2″ and I was able to experience that first hand and its something I will never forget. Being that Rae was so focused on his own project he left me in the hands of Doey Rock a Sacramento CA based artist that Rae has known for many years. Me and Doe worked together for about 2 months and it was like hip hop boot camp for real! Doe would wake me up at all different times during the night and make me just get up and get in front of the mic. Doe made it so I would be able to record under any circumstance drunk, high, tired it didn’t matter at the time it was hard work but I will forever be grateful to him for it and he helped build the artist you see today.

So I got understand you’ve been featured in few big movies and comps. How you feel about this?

Yea I was featured on the 2009 Ninja Assassin Soundtrack on a song titled “Legacy” Featuring Raekwon, Xzibit, and Murs I then went out to LA to shoot the video for the song with Rae and a few months later again returned to LA for the movies premiere. I was 19 at the time and I remember getting out on the Red carpet in hollywood and they were playing the song I had done for the movie that was one of the greatest things I’ve experienced in this buissness so far. I was also more recently featured on Raekwon’s “Unexpected Victory” mixtape on a track titled {The Brewery} produced by Scram Jones we also shot a video for this record that you can see on youtube and the mixtape is available for free download on datpiff.com

What are your music influences? My main influence would have to be Raekwon just for that fact of how much time I’ve spent around him and for the things he’s taught me in music and just life in general he’s always been like a big brother to me. Some other artist who’s sounds also influence me would be Jadakiss, Styles P, Lloyd Banks, 50 Cent, Eminem, Biggie, 2 Pac, Nas and so many more…

Render the Throne. Can you tell us more about this record, the process recording and writing? And what’s the story of the album’s title?

Render The Throne is my upcoming mixtape the record will consist of all original music its set to be hosted by DJ Whoo Kid and presented by Raekwon the mixtape will see guest appearances from Raekwon, JoJo Pellegrino, JD Era, Reina, Reason, Tommy Nova and a few more surprise guests that I’ve got in store. This project will be my first solo mixtape that Im releasing and I put everything into this one its more like an album than a mixtape for sure. As for the title its not directed toward anyone specific but Im coming for that top spot and after the people hear the level of word play and just over all song quality I’ve put into this project they will understand why “Render The Throne” is what it is. There is no date set yet for its release but expect to see it dropping late summer to early fall of 2012

What makes you different to other rappers out there? Im bringing a sound to the table that hasn’t been heard in a long time I take that high energy flow and combine it with unmatched punchlines over high powered beats overall Im just hear to make great music for the fans and show that real hip hop is alive and well.

Do you have any plans for the future we should be aware of?

I have my next single and official video off the “Render The Throne” mixtape dropping in July called “So Amazing” featuring R&B artist Junii and produced by the Germany based Producer GUN Productions but the record can currently be heard exclusively on IHeartRadio. Also this summer the movie “Omerta” will be released Staring welterweight champion boxer Paulie Malignaggi I play a small role in the movie but I am featured on the majority of the movies soundtrack. I Also plan to perform across the US this year venues and dates are still being determined.
