Who’s Alternant Resonant?
Lead by 19 year old Vocalist Rachl Joss Ellen who is passionate about spirituality and has a love for 80s hair metal. Kept in time by astrological drummer Alysa the “Machine Gun”, and produced by guitarist Shane Baker.
How you guys all met and started this group?
We met as regulars at a local Adult Shop. Actually, Alysa was Shane’s girlfriend and took over the studio drum set not long after graduating high school. The band later met Rachl as mutual youtube fans.
What’s the story behind the band’s name?
The name fit our style of never being locked into a particular genre.
What are your music influences?
Anything that’s sexy and moves.
What’s your method at the time of writing a song?
It always begins with fornication.
So I understand you have a new album. Can you give us some insights? Any release date? Title in mind?
Body Pollution is the title so far, but we change our minds far more often than our underwear. The release should be sometime in November (maybe 11/31/2012).
You are planning to hit the road, can you give us some details and what can fans expect from it?
We are on the road now. We just played Rockapalooza in MI. The CD tour will start in September with Rockapalooza in Ohio. The rest of the tour will be a Ballroom type tour, we might show up in make up, maybe drag, maybe nude – against our will of course.
Speaking of which, what has been the funniest moment you have been or took part while touring or playing a gig?
A really famous actor had a back stage pass and was approaching our bus. We grabbed a camera and went to go great ‘em. They started using the space between the busses as a porta potty, they really had to go. Still have no autographs, just the memories.
Are there any more plans for the future?
We have no residence, we live on our tour bus 24/7. It’s all about music. A follow up CD for next year is all ready started and we want to reach our fans overseas and play live for them.
Do you guys feel you are moving in the right direction?
When the GPS on our Android works. Sometimes though, we get really lost.
