Well My Darling Darkling, It’s difficult to classify my music as it overlaps the standard musical genres. Lana Blac NOCTURNAL is Rock/Hard Rock/Metal.

My Top 5 musical influences are: Ozzy Osborne, Marilyn Manson, Maria Brink of In This Moment, Peter Steele of Type O Negative, and Metallica.

3. What do you want fans to take away from your music?

Well first of all Darling, I want my fans to experience pure pleasure when they listen to my music. Let’s face it, everyone in this world is different in their own individual way. We have all traveled down different paths that have led us to this crossing point. My wish is that everyone who listens to my music can enjoy it and also relate to my music in their own personal way. I believe that music is the answer to all that ails us.

4. How’s the music scene in your locale?

Everything in NYC has always been quite fascinating to me, especially when it concerns the music scene. Darling, I am a vampire, I’ve enjoyed countless musical experiences throughout Manhattan for hundreds of years now.

5. What is the best concert you have been to?

The best concert I have been to thus far, was when I had the privilege to see, In This Moment, Korn, and Rob Zombie at PNC. It was the best live performance that I’ve ever experienced. I absolutely love all 3 bands. However, Maria Brink’s performance struck a chord within me. I remember being mesmerized while I stood there and watched Maria Brink’s performance. It was pure magic!

6. What do you like most about playing live?

I absolutely love the feeling I get while performing live. There is an amazing exchange of energy exchange between both my fans and myself! It’s the raising of great vibrations and it’s one of the best feelings in the world!

7. Is there a song on your latest CD release that stands out as your personal favorite, and why?

I love every one of the songs on my album! Each song on my album, NOCTURNAL represents different experiences in my life thus far. I am NOCTURNAL.

8. How have you evolved as an artist over the last year?

Darling, of course I definitely have evolved as an artist over the past year. Life presents us all with experiences to learn from. I’ve learned that everything can always be improved upon. Music is my life. I try to excel by rehearsing daily. I write everyday and I’m always looking for new opportunities to perform and collaborate with other artists.

9. If you could meet, play a gig, co-write a song, have dinner, have a drink with any band or artist (dead or alive) who would it be?

There are two amazing artists that come to mind when that I would so love, love, love to co-write, perform, and hang out with.

Marilyn Manson has been one of my all time favorite artists and my personal muse. I have admired Marilyn Manson from the very beginning of his career. I am fascinated with his clever lyrics, his voice, and of course his shocking stage performances.

Maria Brink of In This Moment, is perhaps the strongest, sexiest, and most talented woman that I have ever had the pleasure to see perform live. Maria Brink has an amazing quality about her; beauty, bravery, sadness, strength, and a stunning stage performance that commands the attention of every single person in her presence.

10. What’s next for you?

I love music. I love to expose myself to every genre as I believe they all hold great value. Music is so incredibly magical. I love the way music can transform the energy of an entire room in a few seconds and music can create life long memories within us all. I will continue to create and perform my music. I’m never going to stop.
