From an exciting new modern band comprised of two New York punk rockers, a classically trained guitarist, and a rhythm keeper from the delta, this track (album) takes you on a sonic journey thru hard hitting drum beats, groovy bass lines, searing guitar riffs that will blow your mind, and hauntingly beautiful vocals that will move your soul. Somehow all of this badassery is packaged into a toe-tapping, head banging, danceable loud rock anthem with the spirit of a flawlessly produced Nashville hit song.
Let yourself lose in the sound of Voltagehawk’s new single “Modern Gasoline” below.
Rising from the ashes of former projects, East Nashville Rockers Jarrad James and Dan Fenton set out to start a new project to fill a void for loud, fast Rock and Roll in Nashville. Calling on an old friend and bass fiddleman, Tyler Boone, the band quickly set the ground rule that the word “no” was not welcome in the creative space. Guitar slinger and purveyor of all things tone, Chase Arrocha, however, was very welcome.
After recording their first demo “Roll” at Starstruck Studios on Music Row in a midnight session, paying for the recording with a 40oz of malt liquor and a set of brass knuckles, the band put together an energetic, fast paced, melodic opener set, and quickly found themselves opening for local rock n roll powerhouses and friends The Tip,Sky Temple Blues, The Cunning, and newcomers Denman.
Continuing on its mission to fuse melodic Nashville songwriting sensibilities with raw Rock and Roll power, Voltagehawk is set to release their debut album on Poison Tree Records.
The album was Mastered by Brian Lucey at Magic Garden Mastering.
