Following our premiere week, we got the always exciting and talented artist Laura Glyda who is back with the release of her new single for “Lie Tonight.”
There is power and positivity behind Laura Glyda’s music. While delightfully acoustic, it’s message roars across her tracks.
A Chicago Native, Glyda grew up outside the city limit throughout her childhood and high school, and eventually to Boston for college and beyond. Glyda felt like her writing opened up once she arrived in the mid atlantic, and loved the feeling of being alone in a place, but not feeling alone. Taking trains, busses and walking everywhere…Glyda feels her best writing comes forth when she’s pondering the universe alone.
Spurned by the early musical stylings Ani DiFranco, Counting Crows, Indigo Girls and Melissa Etheridge, Glyda concedes she’s a sucker for positivity, curiosity, and exploration. Meshing musicality & motivation, Glyda finds herself reveling in the wisdom of Mel Robbins, Lewis Howes, and Glennon Doyle for their consistently positive messages.
“I listen more, ask more questions, and try to find the true, personal need when solving problems,” Says Glyda.
Along with her musical endeavors, Glyda shares an avid passion for the ocean and marine life through her hobby of SCUBA and enjoy following the work of conservationists, aquariums, and environmentalists.
Laura Glyda will be releasing her new record “Radio Ghosts” later this spring, and will be performing on the Melissa Etheridge Cruise March 12th-19th.
