Chinese pop star, Jane Zhang, made history as the first Chinese artist to ever perform at Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show! Aired last night on CBS, her performance featured a medley of her latest singles, which included “808,” the Timbaland-produced “Dust My Shoulders Off,” and her newest, “Work For It.” Now available everywhere, Jane premiered “Work For It,” performing it for the first time live, on the runway. Set to be “China’s first global star to bridge the gap between Chinese pop and Western songs,” (Harper’s Bazaar) Jane was honored to represent her home country for Victoria’s Secret’s Fashion Show this year, which was held in Shanghai. The performance was a milestone and an end to a great year that included the release of the Steve Aoki remix of her groundbreaking number, “Dust My Shoulders Off.” Featuring production from Timbaland, the original version of “Dust My Shoulders Off” shot up to the Top 5 on the iTunes US charts and the video for it has over 13.2 million views on YouTube. Currently, Jane is preparing for the release of her first English album, which is set to release in 2018.

With nearly 40 million Weibo (Chinese Twitter)  followers, Jane Zhang is a household name. Active for over a decade in the massive Chinese market, she has over fifteen #1 hit singles. She’s won “Best Female Singer” seven consecutive years at the China Pop Charts Awards and three consecutive years at the Chinese Music Awards. Known for her signature whistle register, meaning she can hit high notes that no one else can sing, Jane first rose to fame after competing in 2005’s Super Girl —an all-girl TV singing competition with over 400 million viewers. Since then, she has performed at the Oprah Winfrey Show, at the Beijing Olympics Games in 2008 with Andrea Bocelli and at the grand opening of Disney’s Shanghai Resort. In addition to “Fighting Shadows,” the Terminator: Genysis theme song that also features Big Sean, Jane has also collaborated with 50 Cent, Eminem, John Legend, DJ Tiesto, Chris Botti, Kitaro, Andrea Bocelli, Lang Lang, David Foster, Timbaland, Ne-Yo and Tan Dun, just to name a few.

With her upcoming English language album coming soon, Jane is excited to share her artistic vision across the globe. Stay tuned for more details.
