INTERVIEW: David Mark Bulley
Hi David, welcome to VENTS! How have you been?
Hi VENTS! I’ve been great thank you!
Can you talk to us more about your latest single “Where Do We Go From Here”?
Sure! I’m so proud of this song. It’s about the trials and tribulations of the industry that I’m in. Not properly knowing your place and who has good intentions and bad.
Did any event in particular inspired you to write this song?
It did. Friendships change especially within this industry. People are in it for themselves and that’s not what I’m about. You should support one another. It inspired me to write about my experience.
How was the film experience?
It was so much fun. I think I cried at least 6 times because after months of planning, seeing the vision come to life was the most incredible experience.
How was the recording and writing process?
The recording process is one of the most exciting things about writing a song. You start with a demo and it could be very raw and basic. Seeing it come to life is so liberating.
What role does London plays on your music?
I find London a very inspiring place. It breathes art. Its buildings, street art, street performers. The West End. It’s the best place to find that inspiration and passion as the city thrives off of it.
Does the new single mean we can expect a new material – how’s that coming along?
OH YES IT DOES! I’ve been writing constantly and my album will be out this Summer. I can’t wait for you to hear it!
Any tentative release date or title in mind?
We don’t have an exact release date yet but I have a few titles floating around at the moment.
Any plans to hit the road?
Totally! I’m currently on tour with Sylwia Przybysz in Poland and plan to hit a few festivals this Summer before going on my own Headline tour later this year.
What else is happening next in David Mark Bulley’s world?
I’m still writing and recording. I’m heading out the Philippines to do some writing which is crazy! But yeah writing and touring is my plan at the moment.
Hi guys, welcome to VENTS! How have you been? Matt: Hey, thanks for having me. …
