NICKY ROMERO RETURNS WITH ‘THE MOMENT (NOVELL)’ OUT NOW ON PROTOCOL RECORDINGS

With Nicky Romero’s original instrumental version already smashing hundreds of thousands of plays worldwide, it was just a matter of time before he had a chance to give it a proper revitalization with ‘The Moment’ – out now on Protocol Recordings.

Proving to be a mainstage masterpiece laced with spiraling synths and a bouncing bassline, Nicky truly enhances the euphoric melody of the track. Working in an impeccable orchestral breakdown of layered piano chords, sublime strings and uplifting vocals, Romero utilizes them all to a stirringly dramatic effect creating a larger than life atmosphere primed for the festival airwaves.

Foreshadowing the future of Protocolon a personal level, Romero named his instrumental version after Protocol’s newest arrival, Novell El Khatib, the newborn son of his tour manager and friend, Hatim. This gesture is a nod to Romero’s emphasis on the familial nature of Protocol, and perhaps represents the birth of a new chapter for his own musical endeavors.

2016 has undoubtedly been one of the most sensational years ever for Nicky Romero. With this release, the label head and storied producer has successfully launched his brand into the summer, and has all but guaranteed countless spins on the upcoming festival circuit. Having performed for a sold out crowd at his very own Protocol Recordings show in Miami, toured Asia, and hosted the Protocol stage at this year’s TomorrowlandBrasil, Nicky Romero isn’t planning on putting on the brakes anytime soon. With the announcement of the Protocol Recordings ‘Get Connected’ tour, and upcoming original content, the coming months are looking incredibly promising for the Dutch Mega star.
