Centre In The Square and KOI Music Festival have released the completeartist line-up and schedule for KOI Fest At The Parking Lot, on June 25. The Centre is excited to be partnering with the Kitchener’s KOI to bring a new and exciting festival to Kitchener-Waterloo. Showcasing 14 local and internationally recognized bands on two separate stages, KOI Fest At The Parking Lot is a unique platform to grow local talent while featuring award-winning artists.
The headlining act has been around for over a decade now, and has almost as many albums to show for it, plus six Juno Awards. And The Strumbellas, described by Forbes as “one of those hard-to-pin-down-a-genre, alternative-rock-pop-slash-folk bands.” They have also just released a new album last month called Hope. Oh, and did we mention they’re also JUNO Award winners?
Also to join A Stage is Hannah Georgas. CBC describes her as “a critically acclaimed recording artist who writes music that is full of depth, emotion, honesty and catchy hooks.” She also has several JUNO Award nominations under her belt and has released one EP and two albums. She also has a new album, For Evelynset to drop just days before KOI Fest At The Parking Lot. She just released “Don’t Go” as a teaser of her new album.
