Lady Lykez Returns ‘With What Are Those!’ Ft. Face‏

Lady Lykez is back with her brand new single ‘What Are Those’.

The bouncy riddim takes inspiration from the internet viral sensation and Lykez brings her take on the well known phrase through her humour and clever lyrical word play.  The track also features grime artist Face, the “hook master” who regularly shuts down Eskimo and grime raves across the country, and is co-produced by herself and Elliot Bradley (Mix engineer producer for Ghetts. Recording engineer for Craig David, Jojo, Paloma Faith, Jay Sean.)

Fresh from supporting Lethal Bizzle on his sold out UK tour, Lykez premiered the track on CharlieSloth’s  BBC 1Xtra Show to a rapturous reception, and he swiftly made it his Record of the Week the following week.

The video features Lykez and her DJ Melody Kane on a rampage through Oxford Street, being mischievous and was shot by upcoming talented director Nathaniel Media:

Lykez was inspired to make the track after taking part in the live clash for Lord of the Mics last year against Birmingham based MC Sox, where she used the line on stage and shut down the clash! She made history as the first female MC to clash against a guy on the legendary LOTM series.

This year Lykez will be performing at Glastonbury, Leeds Festival, Boxpark, East London Fringe Festival and a headline show at Old Blue Last on 21st July.

She is currently busy in the studio working on her album project to drop later this year!
