Indie songstress ARI premieres her new track “Tiny Bubbles” off her upcoming debut EP Tunnel Vision to be released June 17, 2016. Flaunt premiered the track today, which showcases a more playful side to ARI that we haven’t seen yet as she sputters out into a sunny cheerleader choir of “Give me the MDMA” backed by a xylophone laden beat, PRESS HERE to listen.
“I want my art to convey a duality,” says ARI. “Every opposite has a complement. At times I feel like an outcast, but I’m part of a bigger group. Other times, I may feel fierce but also playful and free.”
This duality can be seen on ARI’s upcoming EP Tunnel Vision where she shines a light on the dueling nature of humanity from the carefree youth that we all want to embrace to the grotesque issues that we are faced with daily. Listeners were first introduced to ARI with the release of “Pretty Little Villains” and the accompanying video, which takes aim at “beautiful douche bags,” PRESS HERE to watch. ARI’s latest release, “Teachers,” continues to spread this powerful message and tears apart the ancient sexual double standard women remain subjected to, PRESS HERE to watch.
Since releasing these initial tracks, ARI continues to break down the walls of conformity and deftly dances in and out of genre lines, moving from entrancing alternative pop to gritty hip-hop production under a cover of electronic elegance. At the same time, the visceral lyrics transmit messages of hope as often as they ponder tragedy. Tunnel Vision shows that ARI is an artist that colors outside the lines, making the listener feel the full spectrum of emotions.
