ONEREPUBLIC RELEASE NEW SINGLE “WHEREVER I GO” TODAY

Multi-platinum, Grammy-nominated quintet OneRepublic release their new single, Wherever I Go,” today on Interscope Records / Universal Music Canada. “Wherever I Go” is available for digital download and streaming via all participating digital retailers now. The track was written and produced by Ryan Tedder, Brent Kutzle and Noel Zancanella and will be featured on the band’s fourth studio album which will be released later this year.

A video for “Wherever I Go” — directed by Joseph Kahn (Taylor Swift, Eminem) and featuring actor Kenneth Choi (American Crime Story, Wolf of Wall Street, and Sons of Anarchy) — will premiere on Vevo immediately following OneRepublic’s performance of the song on The Voice on Tuesday, May 17. OneRepublic first announced the release of “Wherever I Go” by mailing out hand-written postcards to their fans all over the world. The postcards asked recipients to post a picture of the card in the most beautiful or memorable place in their city with the hashtag #WhereverIGo. Posts have begun appearing from countries overseas like Indonesia, Brazil, and the UK, as well as across the United States.

The soulful, rhythmic “Wherever I Go” is the first music to be released from OneRepublic’s upcoming fourth album, which will be released later this year. The band has tweeted that the album is “new, modern, different, unlike anything we’ve done.” The album will be the follow-up to OneRepublic’s 2013 album Native, which debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard Top 200 chart and has sold over five million units worldwide. It produced the hit singles “If I Lose Myself,” “Feel Again,” “Love Runs Out,” “I Lived,” and “Counting Stars,” which reached No. 1 in 54 countries and has sold over 10 million downloads.

OneRepublic, which is Tedder, guitarist Zach Filkins, drummer Eddie Fisher, guitarist Drew Brown, and bassist Brent Kutzle, released their debut album Dreaming Out Loud in 2007. The album included the smash single “Apologize,” which shattered digital sales and airplay records worldwide and received a Grammy nomination. The band’s second album, 2009’s Waking Up, produced three singles: “All the Right Moves,” “Secrets,” and “Good Life.” Tedder is also a Grammy-winning songwriter and producer who has worked with such artists as Taylor Swift, Adele, Beyoncé, U2, Ellie Goulding, Maroon 5, and many others.
