Amsterdam’s reigning Lady Bee pairs up with Caribbean beats guru Noise Cans for “Bucka“. With vocals by Jamaican dancehall singjay Mr. Vegas, “Bucka” builds a smooth reggae vibe into a monstrous trap thumper flowing with all the traditional, get-on-your-feet, get-your-trap-arms-up bells and whistles
Lady Bee is no stranger to releasing big tunes. In 2013, her electro house track “This Is What We Came For” debuted on Dim Mak’s New Noise imprint, promptly gaining support from bossman Steve Aoki. She followed that up with last year’s cranked up full throttle remix of Deorro & ZooFunktion’s “Hype” on Dim Mak. Taping into moombahton territory, Lady Bee kicked off 2015 at the #2 spot on Beatport’s Hip Hop Charts with her triumphant “Bring the Trumpets”.
The anonymous, identity-concealing Noise Cans has brought an authentic dose of Caribbean culture to electronic dance music. In 2014, the Bermuda-born producer debuted two standout projects, Noise Cans Vol. 1 and Vol. 2, on Amsterdam-based label Bad Manor. He kicked off 2015, with Large Up highlighting him as one of their “Top 15 Artist to Watch in 2015.” Additional support this year came from Complex, who heralded the “infectious melody and pulse-pounding bass” on his remix of Kat Deluna and Trey Songz’ single “Bum Bum.”
Jamaican dancehall legend Mr. Vegas has crooned his way to a rock-solid career that has spanned over twenty years and numerous hit singles including “Hot Wuk”, “Heads High” and many more. He has shared the stage with today’s most electrifying stars, including The Black Eyed Peas, Brandy, Pitbull, Trey Songz, T-Pain, Future, and Nicki Minaj. In 2012, he leant his distinctive vocals to Major Lazer’s landmark debut album Guns Don’t Kill People…Lazers Do, on “Can’t Stop Now.”
